From a few days to a Year....

There is nothing like photographing a newborn baby.   They are so small and cute.  Being a mother to 3 children I understand how fast the time flies.  It feels like only yesterday my oldest was born and now he is almost 14 years old!   It is crazy how fast they grow that first year alone!

Newborn portraits are best when baby is anywhere from 3 days to 14 days old.  They will sleep more during the session ....

we can pose them better too!  Since they are still adjusting to the world outside the womb they will go back to the fetal position easily. Which turns out to be cute portrait....

....or we can pose their little heads on their hands for a few portraits too.....

Like I was saying before....that first year goes by real fast.  So, like all photographers, I am going to recommend getting your babies portrait taken every 3 months.

Three month old babies are alert and that makes for some wonderful shots.....

......you can bring a few favorite items to add to any portrait session.

Babies six months and nine months of age are a little more active and it becomes difficult to get them to look at the camera.  That doesn't effect the portrait, it can make them better....

....but if we do get them to look at the camera the pictures turn out stunning!

Then there is that wonderful event that happens.....FIRST BIRTHDAYS!!!!

What I like to do is have a cake smashing session a week or two before their birthday.

We will start off like a normal portrait session.....

.....then introduce them to cake, maybe they will take a bite....

or the whole cake!

To make capturing that first year a little better on your wallet....I give discounts to returning families.   20% off your regular price session.  If it has been 3 months since your last visit you will get 20% off plus $25 in print credit.  6 months since your last visit 20% off plus $20 in print credit.  This is for all returning families not just for babies anymore!

Hope to see you soon!
